Bobby Carpenter Player Evaluation
Bobby Carpenter Player Evaluation No player will be reviewed during mini-camps and training camp as the Dallas Cowboys first-round pick Bobby Carpenter. Carpenter, expectations are very high, given his history with Bill Parcells and his draft status. Most of the fans including myself, Carpenter expect to one day be a starter, helping immediately. For those of you who do not know a lot of carpentry skills, I'll give you a quick summary. It 'been a traditional linebacker at Ohio State in a 4-3 defense. He excels in playing the race and I felt that might be the best coverage linebacker on our team. When the Buckeyes went to their nickel, Bobby put his hand on the defensive end and played. He finished the season with eight sacks. This balance, in addition to its character are the reasons why we have developed during its pass rush specialist Manny Lawson. Lawson may be the best times, but Carpenter is on another planet in terms of coverage and run stuffing ability.I have great confidence in Bobby, but do not be surprised if this is not a huge impact in his first year. The main point with him, in my opinion, is whether or not his race passes the transfer of skills in NFL. He is a player who is solid in coverage and against the run, or there will be an impact player like Mike Vrábel who depend on you to give you 7 or 8 bags years, although competent in terms of coverage and against the run? I think that will develop in the rest, however, do not be surprised if this is just a solid player for several years. The most important thing Carpenter has to be good against the run. Stop opposing backs are a priority for a Super Bowl caliber defense. Also, we really need him to help move something like a race that was our only good 3-4 pass rush threat in our base defense last year.Overall, Carpenter and should come to play an important role in our defense early this fall. It can not be a star in this league, but I do not see that it is any worse than a good, solid strong side linebacker for 3-4 years and come.Writer Creator:
